Kids Pix

Just had to share some pix of the kids we had done for my parents for Christmas.

Christmas 2010

Christmas again this year was truly wonderful!  We spent Christmas Eve at my parents house with my brother and sister-in-law and their kids.

On Christmas day, Trey was up at 4:30am to check out what Santa had brought.  I tried to get him to go back to bed, but no such luck!

Later that day we went back to my parent's house to celebrate with my grandparents, aunts/uncles/cousins on my mom's side.  It was a houseful, but everyone had a great time!

OMG!

As I was heading upstairs to check on my darling daughter, she met me halfway with a nice little surprise.  At first, I was in shock.  But my shock gave way to laughter very quickly.  I'm not sure she appreciated me laughing at her though as her face became almost tearful.

Luckily it was a washable marker and it was only on her face (the walls, furniture, floors, etc. were safe!).

Ridiculus!

Harry Potter fever hasn't just hit Trey this year.  Lexi LOVES Harry Potter as well!  She even asks to watch Harry Potter.  The other night, she found her "wand" - aka drumstick - and decided to perform the Ridiculus spell on her brother and myself.

Silver Dollar City

We headed down to Silver Dollar City on Friday evening.  Trey has been wanting to go for couple of years now.  Upon arriving, however, I realized I had forgotten my coat.  Smooth move!  So Curt and I shared time in his coat.  What a guy!  To top things off we couldn't find Trey's other glove, so I had to give him mine.  Ended up buying a cheapy pair at the park.  Surprisingly they were only about $5!  Although it was cold, the kids had an absolute BLAST!!

Chicky Mouse

Unfortunately I don't have a pic or video of this, but I have to write it down so I will always remember it.  As we were driving down Main Street, Lexi happened to see the window of a flee market decorated with Christmas decorations and Minnie and Micky Mouse.  She kept saying Chicky Mouse, Chicky Mouse!  It was so cute!  I'm not going to correct her just yet because it is just too adorable!

Dear Santa,

This year was the 2nd annual Christmas Party at Darren Wilkins business (he works with Curt).  Luckily we do not have to wait for hours in line to visit a Santa at Bass Pro, the mall, etc.  Santa comes to the party!  This year was so precious to see the look on Lexi's face as Santa appeared.  This is the first year that she is starting to understand the Santa thing.  The look of excitement on the kids faces is just priceless!

Trey was pretty excited too (as he still pretty much believes in Santa)

Lexi asked Santa for a Pink Pony!

Santa even gave all the kids a present and a bag of candy.  Merry Christmas!

I am so proud to say that I am a mother of a Caring Kid! Trey's school has a program called Caring Kids. Each month a student from every class is voted as Caring Kid for that month (each month has a different character word). Trey was voted on by his class as Caring Kid for the word Respect in Novemeber. Trey has been trying very hard to earn this award ever since Kindergarten.
I'm sooo very proud of him!!!!
All Caring Kids received a dog tag to wear around their neck and were honored at an all school assembly. Way to go!

Happy Birthday Trey!

Can't believe that my baby boy turned 8 years old! Seems like just yesterday he was born! He had is Harry Potter Party at the Ozark Pool.

Lexi LOVED playing with the fountains

Trey got a lot of awesome gifts (most of which were Harry Potter themed of course)

Make a wish and blow out the candles!

Another Halloween has come and gone. This year was exciting, however, as Trey and Lexi got to go trick-or-treating with all the kids in the neighborhood (there were hardly any kids in our old neighborhood).
Trey is totally into Harry Potter this year as we started reading the series this summer. So, no surprise, he wanted to dress up as Harry.

Lexi was a cute little pirate girl this year (thanks to Cami for donating the costume)

As you can tell by the HUGE smile on her face, Lexi LOVED going trick-or-treating

Washington DC

It's been so long that I don't even know where to begin. I guess I'll start with our trip this summer to Washington DC. We had the most wonderful trip. We started out visiting our friends Matt and Cassie and their children in Evansville, IN. It was great to see them as we hadn't seen them in years!
Our first day consisted of visiting the National Zoo. There are just too many pix to post, but I thought these were too cute to pass up.
This is one of my favorites! Sometimes Trey can be soooo sweet to his little sis!

We did so many exciting things. We went to all the monuments, museums, and National Cemetery. Trey's favorite places were Mount Vernon, The White House, and The Washington Monument. We ended our trip by heading to Virginia Beach for a few days before then to North Carolina for Curt's cousins wedding. Here are just a few snapshots of our trip.

LOVE this pic!

The Time Has Come

The time has come for me to get back into blogging. Not so much for other people, but for me and my awful memory. I want to be able to remember the all the wonderful things my children did when they were young. I have a year of catching up to do since it's been almost a year since my last post. Please look for more to come very soon!!!!!!!
